§ 23-44.1. Manual operation by school crossing guards.

  • (a)

    The school crossing guards officially designated by the chief of police are hereby invested with the authority to manually operate traffic-control signals, pursuant to V.T.C.A., Transportation Code § 541.304, by which traffic is alternately directed to stop and permitted to proceed.

    (b)

    It shall be unlawful for any person to willfully fail or refuse to comply with a traffic-control signal operated by a school crossing guard.
